THE SITE

The site is located to the east of New Whittington, Chesterfield, and is bound on the northern and eastern boundaries by Whittington Road, connecting the site to New Whittington in the west, Barrow Hill in the east, and Hollingwood in the south-east. The site is neighboured to the west by existing allotments and woodland, separating the site from the existing built form of New Whittington. To the south of the site lies the Barrow Hill Line, a freight-only line that connects the Midland Main Line at Chesterfield to the Sheffield-Worksop-Lincoln railway line.
